ACCCo Workforce Education Partnerships

A ready-to-run education system for your aged care workforce.

Give your clinical leaders practical education packages, planning tools, implementation resources and education evidence templates — without expecting them to research and build every education session from scratch.

Your leaders know your residents and your service. ACCCo gives them the resources to lead the learning.

Clinical leader delivering an in-house education session to aged care staff

No per-learner fees

Unlimited internal staff participation within approved licensed sites.

Built for Australian aged care

Practical education addressing real clinical, workforce and governance priorities.

Ready for your leaders to deliver

Reduce the time spent researching, writing and developing education from scratch.

More than presentations

Planning, education, implementation, evaluation and follow-up tools in one system.

Your leaders deliver it. ACCCo helps them prepare for it.

Your organisation already has Registered Nurses, Clinical Managers, Care Managers, educators and experienced staff who understand the people in their care.

The challenge is finding the time to research evidence, write education, prepare presentations, develop activities, create learner resources and document the education afterwards.

ACCCo does much of that groundwork for them.

  1. ACCCo prepares the resources
  2. Clinical leaders deliver the education
  3. Staff discuss real practice
  4. Learning is implemented
  5. Education is recorded and reinforced

Choose the level of support your organisation needs

Purchase individual ACCCo resources when you need specific topics, or choose a Workforce Education Partnership when you want a broader, evolving education system across the year.

Which ACCCo option is right for us?

ACCCo gives providers two ways to access education. Buying resources is ideal when an organisation wants specific topics with a one-off resource licence. Education for the issues aged-care teams face every day

Select education according to clinical risk, incidents, complaints, audit findings, resident needs, workforce confidence, organisational priorities or emerging education needs.

Dementia Changed behaviour Delirium Clinical deterioration Falls prevention Pain assessment Medication safety Wound and skin integrity Documentation Clinical handover Restrictive practices Person-centred care Choice and dignity Communicating with families Clinical leadership Clinical governance Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards Meaningful engagement End-of-life care Risk identification Incident reporting Recognising dying Care planning Common clinical problems in older people

Individual education packages vary according to topic. Each package clearly identifies its included facilitator, learner, presentation and implementation materials.

See a problem? Turn it into a learning opportunity.

Education does not have to follow an arbitrary calendar. Use ACCCo resources when your service identifies a learning need through:

Falls Medication incidents Documentation concerns Changes in resident condition Behaviour-related incidents Complaints Audit findings Wound trends Communication issues Restrictive-practice concerns Staff uncertainty New clinical risks

One example: falls

  1. Repeated falls identified
  2. Select relevant falls education
  3. Clinical leader facilitates the session
  4. Team discusses contributing factors
  5. Staff receive reinforcement resources
  6. Attendance and evaluation are recorded
  7. Manager follows up practice

This is only one example. Services can select education according to their own clinical risks, incidents, workforce priorities and learning needs. One education session each month creates 12 opportunities every year to strengthen staff knowledge, discussion and practice.

Make the most of the clinical leaders you already have.

Developing one quality education session can involve researching evidence, preparing presentations, writing facilitator notes, developing learner materials, creating activities and questions, organising attendance records and planning follow-up. Then it starts again for the next topic. ACCCo gives your team a prepared starting point.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an LMS?

No. ACCCo provides practical education and workforce-development resources that your organisation can use within its own education systems.

Do you charge per staff member?

No. Staff numbers are not restricted within approved licensed sites.

Can our own RNs and Clinical Managers deliver the education?

Yes. ACCCo is specifically designed to help appropriate internal clinical leaders facilitate education.

Are all ACCCo products identical?

No. Individual education packages vary according to the topic. The contents of each resource are clearly identified.

Can we use the resources in our LMS or intranet?

Purchased resources may be uploaded to a secure internal learning management system where access is appropriately restricted to staff associated with the licensed site or sites. If your organisation operates a central learning management system across multiple facilities, you are responsible for ensuring that access to ACCCo resources does not extend beyond the sites covered by your licence. A resource must not be uploaded to a publicly accessible learning platform or unrestricted resource repository without written permission from ACCCo.

What happens when new resources are released?

Eligible new ACCCo education resources are included during the Workforce Partnership licence period.

Can different facilities focus on different topics?

Yes, within the terms of the applicable multi-site partnership.

Do ACCCo resources replace our policies?

No. ACCCo education complements organisational policies, professional responsibilities, clinical judgement, regulatory obligations and individualised clinical care.

Can we request an invoice or purchase order?

Yes. Organisational invoicing and purchase-order arrangements are available.

ACCCo resources support workforce education and capability development. They complement and do not replace organisational policies, professional responsibilities, clinical judgement, regulatory obligations or individualised clinical care. Education & Clinical Disclaimer
